"Thanks for a fantastic evening. You guys did such a fabulous job. I’d have to rate the class a 10 on a scale of 1-10" --Peggy Burke, 1185 design
Stanford Branding Hunt
Peggy Burke of 1185 Design decided that instead of her usual guest lecture for a class of Stanford entrepenuers, she would send them on a treasure hunt in downtown Palo Alto.
Mastermind worked with Peggy to create a concise set of terms to define good branding, then incorporated them into the clues, which took teams to four highly recognizable brand locations. Each team was tasked with discovering the brands, determining their key strengths as well as retrieving a branded item from each location.
The event succesfully combined the excitement of a treasure hunt with key educational points and ended with a wrap-up discussion, and a tour of the Palo Alto based design firm IDEO.
